Ntc setting on blackberry mobile

Telcom companies (Telcos) generally provide their own data services in blackberry sets, after certain agreement with Blackberry Manufacturer Company, Research In Motion(RIM). So the default browser, i.e hotspot browser that exists in the set doesnt work with other Telcos GPRS services.

Here are few tips to make Nepal Telecom GPRS services work in Blackberry sets:
1.     Blackberry applications are managed via Blackberry Desktop Manager Software. So first download and install the application in your PC.http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
2.     Download opera mini browser for blackberry from http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/blackberry/#active

3.     Open blackberry software manager in your PC blackberry software
4.     Connect Blackberry set to your PC with data cable
5.     Go to applications. Browse for the Opera Mini setup file for blackberry, downloaded in step #2 .
6.     Click install, apply.
7.     Restart your set, it gets installed.
8.     As usual, APN settings need to be configured in the set.
9.     For this, Go to Options => Advanced => TCP/IP
10.   Enter APN as ntnet, check Enable APN settings. Leaver username, password blank(default)
11.   Restart Blackberry set and enjoy web surfing with Opera mini

Go to Options, Advanced, Host Routing Table, press the Application Button and choose register now. See then if you get a Browser icon. ALso in your browser config did you turn it to HotSpot from Internet? If so switch it back to Internet and should work on both.
Go to Manage Connections, Wi-Fi Options, Go down to your access point, press the Application Button and choose edit. Take the check mark out of automatically obtain IP and DNS address and enter what you need.
